As a newborn Christian, we often
want to stay close to the maternal side of our life. Just like a newborn, they
are fed mothers milk or they receive specially formulated formulas for the
proper growth of a baby. Imagine when it comes to the growth stage where a
mother should move the baby into cereals and introduce the food chains to the
baby. If mother does not move forward to this stage of growth we have incurred
is a very fat baby feeding only on the milk.

(Whole Chapter)) and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.) They feed on
the milder scriptures at first but they may continue just in one level of the newborn
study or they may stop reading all together. They like staying in the playpen
and being nurtured the milk of the scriptures. New Christians fail to grow spiritually
and to move on to the scriptural meat of God's Word.
I remember being a New Christian how
on fire I was and believing all the promises of God. Growing in his blessings
and promises the milk of scripture. I could not get enough of his word and
fellowship. However, like all babies, I was easily distracted and my attention
span wavered in the things of God. Letting life, the pressures, and pleasures
of my previous life take up my time. I remember thinking at first God will
understand I have to work, raise a family, and juggle all of the everyday
issues including finding time to read his word.
One thing about Pediatric Jesus is
he gives me the manual for my growth with full instructions and the Teacher the
Holy Spirit. (John 5:39-You diligently study[a] the Scriptures because you
think that by them you possess eternal life. All the word of God and Scriptures
that testify about me) His word instructs we are to study his word for we learn
of him trough his word. It also is instructions on how we are to be imitators
of Christ Jesus. (1 Peter 2:5-
You also, like living stones, are
being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual
sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

(Whole Chapter) we learn our position and spiritual walk by being in his word.
We are to practice the word of God
in our lives Jesus said so in the scriptures. (Luke 8:21-
He replied, "My mother and
brothers are those who hear God's word and put it into practice."
Luke 8:20-22 (in Context) Luke 8
(Whole Chapter) If we practice his word he calls us his family period that
settles it I found it in the living word and the word of God is true. It is
Life to those that accept it and live by his words.
Glory to God!
We are to study the word and to
practice what the word instructs us for spiritual growth. (2 Timothy 2:15 (New
International Version)- Do your best to present yourself to God as one
approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles
the word of truth.) God approves of those that read and practice his word. We
receive faith by hearing the word of God.
(John 14:12
I tell you the truth, anyone who has
faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than
these, because I am going to the Father.

We can do the things Jesus did while on this
earth if we have faith.
He commanded in his word to live by
faith. The kind of faith Jesus had while with us in earth. It takes this kind
of faith to withstand the Enemy and disease, poverty, sickness; this faith is
the golden thread for a Christian's life in Christ Jesus.(Romans 1:17
For in the gospel righteousness from
God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as
it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."

Faith is developed and heard how we
hear the word of God. By reading his word {Bible} listening to Preachers,
Fellow Christians, listening to the voice of GOD. The Holy Spirit the Teacher
the one Christ Jesus promised to send must lead us. (Romans 10:17-
Consequently, faith comes from
hearing the message, and the message heard through the word of Christ.

I was crying around one day needed
some healing in a big way and sobbed before God in prayer. I asked him why I
confessed my healing but never received it. During prayer with God, a Fat Baby
flashed in my mind, eyes closed seeing this fat little baby in a play pen this
baby couldn't even roll over. God was showing me that I was a Fat baby that had never grown or continued
to feed on the word of God. I never passed out of toddler stage stunted my growth
with the cares of the world putting God and his word and my spiritual growth on
the back burner, my bible on a shelf. I never grew spiritually in the word and
things of God. I was content to remain in the playpen of
Nothing will make a New Christian
backslide or become spiritually weak than taking their eyes, ears, and thoughts
off of God and his Word. Nevertheless, thank God for his Mercy and Grace it is
sufficient for you and I. Oh I repented fast I told God sorry for not growing
into the Spiritual Person he called me to be a Royal Priest of his Word and
Gospel Message. I dug into his word I had to start all over with my New Birth
Experience. After a bit of digging and studying his word he caught me right
back fast to where I was to be as a Spiritual Woman. Praise God Almighty for
his faithfulness. Whenever I feel like taking a break from his word, I always
see the fat baby I had become. A reminder from the Father not to let down on my
Spiritual Walk and growth in his word... We need to grow in the things of God
if we are to do the things were called to do.
